Privacy Policy

Nexovia LLC ("Nexovia", "we", "our", "us") built the Kerfwise app (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the App, you agree to the terms below. This policy applies to the Android application with package ID cloud.nexovia.kerfwise. Effective Date: May 13, 2026.

Local data only (no account required): All project data, cut lists, stock sheets, calculator results, clients, quotes, invoices, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device using Room (SQLite). We do not collect or transmit this data unless you explicitly enable Cloud Backup (see Section 3). Advertising (AdMob): The free version of Kerfwise displays banner and interstitial advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). This may include your approximate location, device identifiers, and ad interaction data for the purpose of serving relevant ads. Contact form: If you use the in-app contact feature or the web contact form at kerfwise.nexovia.cloud, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message to respond to your inquiry. Analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (crash reports, feature usage frequency) via Firebase Crashlytics or similar services to improve the app. This data cannot identify you individually.

Kerfwise Pro users may optionally sign in with Google to enable Firebase cloud backup of their project data. This sign-in is entirely optional. If you enable it, your project data is encrypted in transit and stored in your private Firebase account. You can disable backup and delete cloud data at any time from Settings → Cloud Backup.

The App requests the following Android permissions: • INTERNET — Required for AdMob ads, optional cloud backup, and in-app Pro purchase via Google Play Billing. • RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — Used to reschedule local notification reminders after device reboot. • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 9 and below only) — Required to save exported PDF, CSV, and DXF files to the Downloads folder on devices running Android 9 or earlier. • POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+) — Used to display optional reminders for open projects. We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or SMS.

We use the information collected solely to: • Operate and improve the App. • Respond to support requests submitted via the contact form. • Serve advertisements in the free version of the App via Google AdMob. • Diagnose crashes and improve stability via anonymous analytics. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Local device data is retained until you uninstall the App or manually delete projects within the App. If you enable optional cloud backup, your data is retained in Firebase until you delete it from Settings → Cloud Backup → Delete All Cloud Data, or by contacting us at support@nexovia.cloud. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months for support purposes, then deleted.

Kerfwise is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us at support@nexovia.cloud and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide notice in the App (e.g., via an in-app notification). Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
