1. Overview
Electrical Engineering Calculator is an Android application that provides 50 electrical engineering calculators for offline use. The app does not require user accounts or authentication. All calculation data you enter is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to any external server by Nexovia LLC.
The app integrates several third-party Google/Firebase SDKs that automatically collect limited, anonymous data as described below.
2. Permissions
The app requests the following Android permissions:
- INTERNET — Required for: (a) loading Google AdMob advertisements in the free tier, and (b) Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics background reporting. Pro users do not see advertisements; however, Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics may still use this permission for anonymous background reporting.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Used to check network connectivity before attempting to load advertisements. No data is collected through this permission.
- com.android.vending.BILLING — Required to process the one-time Pro upgrade ($3.99) through Google Play Billing. Payment is handled entirely by Google Play; Nexovia LLC does not receive or store any payment information.
3. Data We Collect (via Nexovia)
Nexovia LLC does not collect any personal information. The only data the app stores is:
- A local boolean flag (
is_pro_user) in Android SharedPreferences indicating whether you have purchased the Pro upgrade. This flag is stored only on your device and is not transmitted anywhere. - Calculation history stored in a local Room (SQLite) database on your device. This data is never synced to any cloud or server.
4. Data Collected by Third-Party SDKs
The following third-party SDKs are integrated and collect data independently under their respective privacy policies:
4a. Firebase Analytics (Google LLC)
Collects: Anonymous usage statistics — which calculators are opened, session duration, app version, device type, OS version. No personally identifiable information is attached.
4b. Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC)
Collects: Anonymous crash reports including stack trace, device model, OS version, app version, available memory, disk space, battery state at time of crash. No user IDs, email addresses, or custom keys are attached by Nexovia LLC.
4c. Google AdMob (Google LLC) — Free Tier Only
In the free tier, Google AdMob displays banner and interstitial advertisements. AdMob may collect an advertising ID (GAID) and device identifiers to serve relevant ads per Google's standard advertising privacy policy. Pro users do not see advertisements; AdMob is disabled for Pro users by the app.
4d. Google Play Billing (Google LLC)
The in-app purchase of the Pro upgrade is processed by Google Play. Google may collect purchase history for app functionality verification. Nexovia LLC only receives confirmation of whether a valid purchase exists — no payment method details, transaction IDs, or financial data are accessible to Nexovia LLC.
4e. Google Play In-App Review & In-App Update APIs
These APIs may collect anonymous app interaction signals. No personal data is collected or accessible by Nexovia LLC through these APIs.
5. Data Not Collected
Nexovia LLC does NOT collect:
- Name, email address, or any contact information
- Location data (no location permission is requested)
- Camera or microphone data (no camera or microphone permission is requested)
- Contacts or call logs
- Files or media from your device
- Clipboard contents
- Any calculation inputs or results (stored locally only)
6. Data Sharing
Nexovia LLC does not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties. The third-party SDKs listed in Section 4 operate under their own privacy policies and data sharing practices.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
All locally stored data (calculation history, Pro status flag) can be deleted by:
- Using "Clear Calculation History" in Settings within the app.
- Uninstalling the app (removes all local data).
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data is retained per Google's standard data retention policies (typically 14 months for Analytics event data).
8. Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is designed for engineering professionals and students.

All calculations provided by this app are for educational and reference purposes only. Always verify results with professional tools and applicable standards (IEEE, NEC, IEC, etc.). Nexovia LLC assumes no liability for errors, omissions, or misuse of calculation results.
