1. Overview
Engineering Calculator Pro is published by Nexovia LLC. All calculation data is stored locally on your device. No account, login, or personal information is required to use the app.
2. Data We Collect
a. Anonymous Usage Data (Firebase Analytics)
- What: which screens you visit, which calculators you open, session duration.
- Why: to understand how engineers use the app so we can improve it.
- How: Firebase Analytics SDK — data is aggregated and anonymized.
- Opt-out: Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.
b. Anonymous Crash Reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
- What: device model, Android version, app version, stack trace at time of crash.
- Why: to identify and fix bugs.
- PII collected: none. Stack traces contain no user data.
c. Advertising Identifier (Google AdMob — free tier only)
- What: advertising ID used to serve non-personalized or personalized ads.
- Why: to support free access to 58 calculators.
- How: Google AdMob SDK per Google's Privacy Policy.
- Premium users: ads are disabled; AdMob does not run for premium accounts.
- Opt-out: Android Settings → Google → Ads.
d. In-App Purchase Records (Google Play Billing)
- What: whether you have purchased the "premium_unlock" product.
- Why: to unlock premium disciplines.
- How: Google Play Billing API. Nexovia does not receive your payment details. Purchase records are stored locally in EncryptedSharedPreferences (AES-256-GCM) on your device.
3. Data We Do Not Collect
- Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- Calculation inputs or results (stored only locally on your device)
- Location data
- Camera or microphone data
- Contacts
4. Local Data Storage
Your calculation history and favorites are stored in a Room (SQLite) database on your device. This data never leaves your device. You can delete it at any time via Settings → Data Management → Clear Calculation History or Clear Favorites.
5. Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact support@nexovia.cloud.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. We will update the "Last Updated" date below. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
