Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Nexovia LLC (“Nexovia”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Media Purge AI Android application.

1. Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data required to operate and improve the app:

  • Firebase Analytics — Anonymous usage events (screens visited, features used, session length). No PII collected.
  • Firebase Crashlytics — Anonymous crash reports (device model, OS version, stack trace). No PII collected.
  • Google AdMob (free tier only) — Advertising ID for ad serving. Governed by Google’s privacy policy.
  • AI Image Classification via Gemini API — When you run a Smart Purge, compressed JPEG thumbnails of your images are sent to Google’s Gemini 2.0 Flash Lite API for classification. Thumbnails are not stored by Nexovia and are not associated with your identity.
  • On-Device Room Database — Scan history, purge statistics, and app preferences are stored locally on your device and never transmitted to Nexovia servers.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Nexovia does not collect:

  • Your name, email address, or any personally identifiable information
  • The actual content of your photos, videos, or audio files
  • Your location
  • Contacts, messages, or call logs
  • Payment details (purchases are handled entirely by Google Play)

3. Permissions Explained

The app requests the following Android permissions:

  • READ_MEDIA_IMAGES — Required to scan your image gallery for junk detection.
  • READ_MEDIA_VIDEO — Required to scan video files for short or duplicate videos.
  • READ_MEDIA_AUDIO — Required to scan audio files.
  • READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android < 13) — Legacy fallback for older OS versions.
  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — Required to move files to trash and perform purges.
  • MANAGE_MEDIA — Required for batch media deletion without individual prompts on Android 11+.
  • INTERNET — Required for Gemini AI classification, Firebase, and AdMob.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — Used to enforce WiFi-only mode for AI scans when configured by the user.

4. In-App Purchases

The Pro upgrade ($4.99, one-time) is processed entirely by Google Play. Nexovia does not receive, store, or process any payment information. Purchase history and restoration are managed by your Google account.

5. Children’s Privacy

Media Purge AI is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@nexovia.cloud and we will promptly delete it. This app is in compliance with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act).

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date at the top. Continued use of the app after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
